All Saints Day 2012

It has been a family tradition to spend every 1st of November in the whereabouts of our dearly departed. We bring food and other stuff that we need and spend at least an overnight in their resting place. As a mom, I would also like my kids to practice the same tradition in honor of the people who were once a part of their lives, and someday I will also leave this place and move on to a new journey and with that, it wont hurt to see my kids spend a single day in a year with me, in celebration of what we had together...

Here are some of the pictures taken last All Saints Day, taken at Everlasting Peace Memorial Park in San Pedro, province of Laguna.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

Everyone is already on their feet awaiting the premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2 the last part of the Twilight Saga. I for one is an avid fan of the twilight films and Edward has a big part on why I was attracted to watch it. With the coming of Renesmee, of course it will be more appealing to the people as everyone will be working together to protect the family from the Voulturi.

Here is the lovely Renesmee...

Who would not love this kid, no wonder she got the year's biggest child character in a movie!

and those very lovely eyes...

For more information, you can visit: Renesmee Cullen

Here are some of the pictures from Breaking Dawn Promotional Stills

As Bella enjoys her new life and new powers, after the birth of their daughter, Renesmee, their family bliss is once again threatened, by a new menace. Vampire Irina believes a child like Renesmee could challenge the power and existence of the Volturi. As Irina rallies the Volturi to destroy Renesmee, potential threat, Bella and the Cullens - together with any allies they can assemble - are preparing to fight a crucial, ultimate battle, to protect their family. A film worth the wait. 1 more week and we'll be off to see the latest of what Twilight offers! Hope to cathc you all at the movies! =)

Early Christmas Package at Max's restaurant

The family had the chance to get together a couple of weeks ago when my brother Jun came home to visit from Singapore. We ate out at Max's Restaurant and I wanna share with you guys some of the latest food packages that they have in store for Christmas.

No Matter what the celebration is, as long as we have the family together, that is what counts... Happy Christmas planning! =)

Pregnancy and SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction)

The journey that I took during my pregnancy with Enzo were both happy and painful. More often than not, I was out of the office. I was then not aware of the condition called SPD also called Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. So I had to do some research on the condition cause it felt then that it was progressing so fast and as it progresses, I started to have a hard time turning from side to side  when in lying position, worsening by night. I was puzzled at first but as I learned more about the condition, I was made aware of the things that I needed to avoid.

Among those that I needed to remember were as follows:

Brace the pelvic floor muscles before performing any activity which might cause pain
Rest the pelvis
Sit down for tasks where possible (e.g. preparing food, ironing, dressing)
Avoid lifting and carrying
Avoid stepping over things
Avoid straddle movements especially when weight bearing
Bend the knees and keep the legs 'glued together' when turning in bed and getting in and out of bed
Place a pillow between the legs when in bed or resting (will actually give enough comfort for you to sleep!)
Avoid twisting movements of the body

In my case wherein the pain is very severe, using elbow crutches will help take the weight off the pelvis and assist with mobility.

Sadly, there is no evidence in the medical literature to support any particular treatment. As in my case, all signs and symptoms disappeared after giving birth...

A word of caution for those who thinks that they have all the symptoms, pain gets worse each day as tummy  becomes heavier. Pain may become a triggering factor  for a premature labor. Respect your body as if you strain it to its maximum, you will find yourself in a very difficult situation.

Being pregnant is a gift which entails its own risks, but if we learn to take good care of ourselves, pregnancy will be a soft breeze for moms... =)
