Earthquake Shakes Bohol and Nearby Cities...

My prayers goes out to all those who were affected by the earthquake which struck the province of Bohol and some nearby cities. The Earthquake occurred at around 8am this morning which took the lives of many. It was estimated to be a 7.2 magnitude quake which has damaged several buildings and old historic churches among them was the country's oldest, the 16th-century Basilica of the Holy Child in Cebu, which lost its bell tower and nearly half of a 17th-century limestone church in Loboc town, was reduced to rubble. It was fortunate that today we are celebrating the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha for our Muslim brothers which may have saved more lives because classes are suspended as declared by National Government.

Also added to this, the view deck of the famous Chocolate Hills lies in its ruins and as of this time 10 churches have been damaged wherein some of which are over 400 years old and the death toll has risen to 93…

Let us all pray for those who are affected… May the good Lord bless us all and keep them/us from further harm… =(
